Class II Railroads
A Class II railroad in the United States hauls freight and is mid-sized in terms of operating revenue. As of 2011, a railroad with revenues greater than $37.4 million but less than $433.2 million for at least three consecutive years is considered Class II.[7] Switching and terminal railroads are excluded from Class II status.
